Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of Tipso ("we", "us") — operated by NWARE S.R.L., str. Teilor no. 10, Craiova, Romania. By using the Tipso mobile app or website, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use Tipso.

1. What Tipso does

Tipso helps you split restaurant checks: scan a receipt, friends claim what they had, and we calculate each person's share of items, tax, tip, and service. No money ever flows through Tipso — we only do the math. Any amounts we show are calculations to help you settle up between yourselves; making the actual payment is up to you.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use Tipso. By using it, you confirm that you are.

3. Your account

You sign in with Google, Apple, or email. Keep your sign-in secure — you're responsible for activity under your account — and give us accurate information.

4. Connected accounts (read-only)

Some features let you connect an external account — for example, a bank account through a regulated account-information provider — so Tipso can read your transactions to help you track and split spending. Where you do, Tipso accesses this information in read-only form, only with your explicit consent, and never initiates payments or moves money. You can withdraw your consent at any time.

5. Your content

You keep ownership of the receipts, images, and other content you add. You grant us a limited licence to store and process it solely to provide the service (for example, extracting items from a receipt image). Don't upload content you don't have the right to share, or that is unlawful.

6. Acceptable use

Don't misuse Tipso: no unlawful use, no interfering with or attacking the service, no attempting to access other people's data, no reverse-engineering except where the law allows, and no automated scraping or overloading.

7. Availability and changes to the service

Tipso is evolving. We may add, change, or remove features, and we may suspend or limit the service for maintenance or to protect it. We aim for reliability but don't guarantee uninterrupted availability.

8. Disclaimers

Tipso is provided "as is". The calculations are an aid, not financial, tax, or accounting advice — you're responsible for checking that a split is correct before you settle. To the extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties.

9. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for amounts you settle between yourselves. Nothing here limits any liability that cannot be limited by law.

10. Termination

You can stop using Tipso and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you breach these Terms, or where necessary to protect the service or other users.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by Romanian law, and disputes fall under the competent courts of Romania — without affecting any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have where you live.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. We'll post the new version here and update the date above; material changes will be communicated in the app. Continuing to use Tipso after a change means you accept it.
